Gas lift is a lifting technique for lifting a liquid such as water or oil by supplying compressed air, nitrogen, natural gas, or wellhead gas to an outlet pipe. This results in a decrease in the hydro static pressure in the outlet pipe compared to the hydro static pressure at the inlet side of the pipe.
