CNG is mainly composed of methane, occupies less than 1 percent by volume at standard atmospheric pressure, and is stored and distributed in rigid vessels at 20-25 MPa (2900-3600 psi).
Used instead of gasoline, diesel and LPG, CNG is proven to be safer and less greenhouse gas emissions. It is found above oil fields and collected from landfills or wastewater treatment plants, where it is known as biogas.
