In the warm spirit of the “Alumni Returning to Hunan” initiative, Yiyang No.15 High School held a heartwarming scholarship award ceremony on January 10, sponsored by Denair to support deserving students.

In recent years, the “Alumni Returning to Hunan” movement has become a powerful force for regional development, as many former students return to give back to their hometowns. Among them is Mr. Yu Langbo, an outstanding alumnus of the 1998 class of Yiyang No.15 High School and the Chairman and General Manager of Denair Energy Saving Technology (Shanghai) PLC. After achieving remarkable success in the business world, Mr. Yu has remained deeply connected to his alma mater, giving back with gratitude and compassion.

On the day of the ceremony, the school campus was filled with warmth and inspiration. Mr. Cao Lashen, Party Secretary of the school, shared Mr. Yu’s inspiring life story with heartfelt enthusiasm. The Denair Scholarship, founded by Mr. Yu, supports 30 students each year who come from financially disadvantaged backgrounds but excel in both character and academics. This scholarship reignites their hope for education and helps them stay on the path to realizing their dreams.

In addition, Mr. Yu’s donation to the school’s literary fund has led to the creation of the "Xuyou Cup" series of cultural activities. These include the "Maple Leaf" essay contest, where students express their youthful thoughts through writing; the calligraphy competition, which showcases traditional Chinese artistry; and the classic reading sessions, where students recite timeless literature and preserve cultural heritage. The school is now vibrant with students actively engaged in learning and self-improvement.

As the list of scholarship recipients was announced, students took to the stage one by one to receive their awards from school leaders and Mr. Yu.
